If you love paint as much as I do, you’re going to love this one…
We love what the super talented Christiane Lemieux has done with Benjamin Moore paints (if you don’t know Christiane, she’s the genius Founder/Creative Director behind DwellStudio; they make many of our cool, urban, and witty bed linens and accessories).
For her last photo shoot for DwellStudio’s Gate bed linen collections and Paper Dolls baby bedding, she painted the walls of the same room in different colors, and what a difference it made! The results are amazing …
Here is the first room, painted with Benjamin Moore’s 2124-10 Wrought Iron. This feels artsy and chic, and the bedding really pops.
Here is the same room, using Benjamin Moore 2062-20 Gentleman’s Gray and 1555 Winter Orchard. On the left the room is still chic, but the furnishings are more balanced with the room. This paint picks up the blues in the bird of the classic Chinoiserie pillow. Then, on the right, Winter Orchard is a great neutral … soothing and calm.
Over at the nursery, the Paper Dolls baby bedding is first shown in a room painted with Benjamin Moore 2109-40 Smoked Oyster. The color is deep, but gender-neutral.
Now look what happens when it’s painted with Benjamin Moore 887 Pink Cloud and 868 Mountain Mist. Both spaces suddenly become lighter and brighter, but the one on the left feels sweeter while the one on the right feels crisp and cool.
Isn’t this cool? We’ve done a lot of painting over the years, and we never cease to be amazed by how much color can transform a room. What about you? Have you done any painting lately?
