Holiday Tables by Royal Copenhagen

Each holiday season for nearly half a century, the folks at Royal Copenhagen ask several Danish celebrities to each decorate a holiday table. This year’s theme was “Songs of Christmas” as all of the celebrities were singers. We love their designs – some classic, some modern, and all beautifully celebrating the holiday spirit.

We hope they inspire you in your own holiday table settings!

Caroline Henderson’s table celebrates her Swedish and American heritage as well as her family’s love of Paris.
Actress, singer and director Hella Joof’s table imagines the story of the three wise men and gilded childhood memories of Christmas.
Singer Julie Berthelsen chose to evoke a traditional Greenland holiday feast. The Blue Fluted Mega dinnerware is a nod to her son’s first Christmas celebration.
Singer Marie Carmen Koppel chose to set her table with Flora Danica, because as she says, “it has always been one of my greatest wishes to set a Christmas table with Flora Danica.”
Anne Dorthe Michelsen’s table is inspired by a Scandinavian Christmas carol which celebrates starlight shining in the darkness.
Singer Cæcilie Norby set a traditional table using Star Fluted Christmas dinnerware. Her design celebrates family, togetherness and tradition.

We hope you enjoyed the holiday tables! If you happen to be traveling in or around Denmark, you can view them in person at the Royal Copenhagen flagship store on Amagertorv 6, 1160 Copenhagen K through the end of December.
