The white "Key-Set Welcome Keys, 7-Pcs." includes 6 keys made from brilliant white Meissen porcelain, which can be inserted both-way into the noble stand made of dark wood. The so-called "Welcome Keys" symbolise hospitality and the entry into the world of fine arts. King Augustus the Strong, founder of the Meissen porcelain manufactory, himself shared the "Welcome" drinking vessel with his entourage at Albrechtsburg Castle. According to the historic manufactory guestbook, the key-shaped goblet filled with the juice of the vine is shared for the first time on the 21st of April in 1714. Ever since then, Meissen porcelain has been bringing people together. Be it in the form of tableware, art objects or conversation porcelains to contribute to cultural exchange.
