The charming Good Morning America lifestyle anchor was featured in House Beautiful’s column “I Love My Bed” for June. We fell in love with the fun yet relaxed style of the bedroom in her Connecticut home.
We couldn’t help but notice the resemblance of her thrift store nightstands to the Bungalow 5 Jacqui side table:
So if you love this look, but don’t have time to browse thrift shops or antique stores for the perfect piece, you’re in luck!
Here are a few more ways to bring this eclectic look home:
Laundry sure has come a long way from the days of the washboard and tub. We now have computerized washing machines and dryers. Laundry detergent has improved, too. Two of our favorite modern laundry soaps, The Laundress and LeBlanc Linen Wash were featured in Elle Decor this month.
Lindsey Wieber Boyd and Gwen Whiting, co-founders of The Laundress®, created their eco-chic line of specialty detergent and fabric care to take the chore out of doing laundry. The Laundress detergents are highly concentrated, suitable for HE machines and hand-washing, and work in any water temperature. They are family safe, allergen-free, have no toxic fumes and aren’t tested on animals. The detergents use plant-based ingredients, and do not contain chlorine, petroleum products, or artificial color.
LeBlanc Linen Wash is a specially formulated cleaning solution for washing fine linens. The gentle, pH-balanced formula contains no bleach and can be used on all natural fibers, synthetics, and blends. All LeBlanc products are low sudsing and safe for use on HE machines. Their Linen Wash is available in a range of fragrances and special formulas for cleaning towels, lingerie, children’s bedding, and down.
It’s summertime and our thoughts are turning to the beach, what about you? If you can’t make it to the seaside, bring the seaside to your home with these great ideas from Elle Decor. They love the Blu Mare salad plate by Vietri for adding some cool ocean blue to the table.
They would look great in your beach house!
The editors at Elle Decor were “bowled over” by the Naxos Salad Bowl from Bernardaud. We love the bright, sharp lines contrasted with the soft simplicity of the shapes on pure white.
Designed by Olivier Gagnère, the Naxos dinner service shows masterful use of the transparency and finesse of white porcelain in a striking, three-dimensional design.

Hollywood director Nancy Meyers, whose films include Something’s Gotta Give and Father of the Bride, has a great eye for decorating. Interviewed in Elle Decor, she lists one of her favorite things as her set of Royal Copenhagen dinnerware.
Softer than cashmere and available in a wide range of colors, Alpaca is one of the world’s most luxurious fabrics. We love the Herringbone throw in Royal Grape, seen here in the June issue of Elle Decor:
These luxurious woven throws are made from 100% baby alpaca, the softest Alpaca fiber available. It is collected without harming the animal. These throws are hypoallergenic, extremely soft and warm yet lightweight.
See our 40+ beautiful colors of Alpaca Throw, in both solids and classic herringbone.
Who doesn’t love foo dogs? They’re endearing to look at and charming, to say the least. And they look great in nearly any room in the house. We adore these new mini Foo Dog Lamps by Barbara Cosgrove:
These brightly colored lamps are made from cast resin with brown shades and are slightly smaller than the Original Foo Dog Lamp (which only came in beige). Sold as pairs for $548, including one right and one left Foo Dog, they are meant to flank a sofa, table or any object. In four lively colors: Red Pepper, Caribbean Blue, Key Lime or Watermelon. We’ll take eight!
Buccellati has long been known for their exquisitely detailed gold and silver work. A family business with traditions rooted in the 18th century, the company started in earnest when Mario Buccellati, then an apprentice at the prestigious Beltrami & Beltrami jewelry shop, took over the firm in 1919 and renamed it Buccellati.
Mario first exhibited his wares in the 1920 Exposition in Madrid, where his booth was completely sold out. Soon after, he was invited back for a solo show, and Spanish aristocrats, including the royal family, became ardent supporters and lifelong clients. After nearly a century in business, Buccellati’s creations have been exhibited at the Smithsonian and joined the Pope’s private collections in the Vatican.
Although Buccellati is well known on the red carpet for its jewels, it’s actually the light-as-air engraving on the metal pieces that sets the company apart. Buccellati pieces are often covered with multiple engravings and piercings, so in the hands of its artisans, metal often resembles fine fabrics like linen, tulle, or lace. This distinctive Buccellati technique, practiced in the company’s workshops around Milan, Florence, and Venice, has allowed Buccellati to remain one of the world’s foremost gold and silversmiths.
For the home, Buccellati has created an exquisite line of sterling silver flatware, frames, and dishes.
The Buccellati flatware collection of 14 patterns represents the beauty and excellence of fine craftsmanship. Timeless and elegant, the designs span many centuries from the classic to the contemporary, giving the collection versatility suited to today’s eclectic lifestyles. The weight and balance of each piece of flatware make it a pleasure to use, while the many serving pieces in each pattern add sophistication to the table. All Buccellati flatware is crafted from sterling silver.
Buccellati also makes intricately detailed, sterling silver picture frames. Available in a range of styles, they make wonderful wedding or anniversary gifts.
Buccellati’s exquisite dishes showcase the beauty and elegance of nature. Handcrafted from sterling silver in the shape of flowers, leaves and shells, they make lovely gifts that will become heirlooms.
Surprisingly, Buccellati is still a family affair, making it one of the last great family-owned Italian luxury businesses. It is run by Mario’s son Gianmaria Buccellati, his wife, and several of his children. Together, they’ve kept Mario Buccellati’s voluptuous Renaissance and Art Deco look intact, while bringing it forward into the present. Quest is a fun, fresh magazine that covers society and lifestyle in New York, Greenwich, The Hamptons and Palm Beach. Oomph’s style fits them perfectly. We recently spotted the oomph Backgammon Table in the June issue as a “Fresh Find.”
